2026 real teams & players: downloads and installation guide

Post by RosterBench »

Real team names and player names for the 2026 database, with optional matching team logos.

Choose the leagues you want below. Each v1.1.0 data pack includes both teams and players; the logo packs are separate downloads. You can install all three leagues together.

These packs match game version 0.1.13 and its 2026 base database. Start a new career after installing the teams-and-players packs. Existing saves keep the data they were created with.

1. Download your packs

Open a download page below, then log in to see the MediaFire link. Registration is free and you do not need to reply to this topic. If you have just registered, activate your account from the email first.

NFL — Pro League NCAA FBS — Premier College NCAA FCS — Major College On MediaFire, download the ZIP whose filename matches the pack you selected. The forum download page also includes its size and SHA-256 checksum.

2. Open the game's MOD folder

From the main menu, choose New Game and complete the manager profile if prompted. On Game content packs, click SHOW INSTALL LOCATION. Use the folder the game opens; this avoids guessing where your installation stores MODs.

3. Extract the files into MOD

Open the downloaded ZIP and copy the folder inside it into MOD. Do not leave the ZIP compressed in MOD. The pack's manifest.json should be one folder below MOD.

For the NFL data pack and optional NFL logos, it should look like this:

Code: Select all

MOD/
  gm_roster_pro_league_2026/
    manifest.json
    INSTALL.txt
    database/
      teams.json
      players.patch.json
  gm_logos_pro_league_2026/
    manifest.json
    images/
      teams/
        1.png
        ...
Put a logo pack beside its data pack, as shown above. Do not put it inside the roster folder. The college packs use the same structure, with premier_college or major_college in their folder names.

If you see a version-number folder between MOD and the pack folder, move the inner pack folder up one level. For example, MOD/gm_roster_pro_league_2026/manifest.json is the correct path.

4. Refresh and start a new career

Return to Game content packs and click REFRESH LIST. Valid packs are enabled automatically. Check that your installed packs appear, then select NEXT: CHOOSE A TEAM.

Choose the corresponding league, check the team name and optional logo, and click START CAREER. Open your squad to check the player names.

Updating from Player List v1.0.0

Move the old gm_roster_[league]_2026 folder completely out of MOD before extracting v1.1.0. Keep only one version of each league's data pack installed. Renaming an old folder while leaving it inside MOD can leave both copies available to the game.

Your existing v1.0.0 logo pack can stay. The updated data pack adds team names, abbreviations and nicknames to the player patch, along with the matching team data snapshot. Contracts and the other databases come from the base game.

Start a new career to use the updated data. Replacing the files does not rewrite an existing save.

If something does not appear

The pack is missing from the list: Check that you extracted the ZIP and that manifest.json is directly inside the pack folder. Click REFRESH LIST again.

Names have not changed: Check a new career. A manual teams.json or full players.json for the same league can take priority over these packs. Back up conflicting files and move them out of MOD while checking; keep your saved careers. Other roster patches can also override the same records.

Logos have not changed: Install the separate logo ZIP for that league and refresh the list. Check that its images folder is beside its own manifest.json and that another graphics pack is not overriding it.

Need a hand? Reply with your game version, league, exact ZIP filename and the error message or a screenshot of the pack list. Remove personal folder paths and account details from screenshots.

Checked on Windows with dev version 0.1.13: all 295 team names, player-pack loading for all three leagues, and an NFL career through creation, saving and reopening. Season-long simulation has not been tested for this release.
